Dawn and Quartered
10 x 440 as the sun came up. Eric was there stride for stride.
5.8 miles total.
Adventures of a Downeast Maine runner.
10 easy miles this morning on dry pavement (mostly). Wind out of the north made the first few miles a little chilly but I warmed up after awhile. The sun is starting to brighten the morning sky which is improving the enjoyment factor of the workouts significantly.
Tomorrow back to the 440’s.
10 x hill this morning. 5.8 miles total. Road was snow covered but the volume did the trick. Eric came out to help this morning. Glad for his company.
We had the unique experience of passing a snowplow as we ran up one of the last repeats. Rather disconcerting really.
Mike and I ran our last short long I think for the season. We bump our 17 milers up to 20 beginning next week. Sort of got used to running just the loop. Now to adding the 3 miles at the end will take some fortitude.
No run today as we had a wicked snowstorm and I had to spend my running time shoveling and driving to work. (It took two hours to drive to work in case you’re wondering).
Hill work tomorrow.
60 minute workout this morning: 10x hill plus warmup / cooldown. 5.8 miles total.
Considering the winter, this is supposed to be a good problem. But it had the effect of shortening my run this morning as I overheated early. Slow became really slow but I felt good otherwise.
8.5 miles
Get you through those final miles. Met up with Eric at mile 9.5 this morning and he got me through to 15. Warmer temps and dry pavement made running much easier than late.
Takes a lot of willpower to get past the house at the 10 mile mark but with some company it’s rather easy.
15 miles @ 8:39 pace
10 miles yesterday.
