Doubled to make 105 then ran an easy 90

Two days... yesterday I split the scheduled hour and 45 minutes into two: 45 minutes in the morning and an hour in the evening. Total: 12.6. The first run was on an unmeasured course with a little trail in there. So I estimated 5 miles. The second run turned in 7.6 @ 7:56 pace.

Today the heat had me feeling very sluggish from the start. Managed 10.6 before the clock ran out at 8:33 pace.

Another 10.1

75 minutes on the schedule today and it turned out to be another 10.1. Ran a little more even paced than last time but the same distance nonetheless.

No run on the 4th... too much going on. And yesterday I got caught up in a home improvement project that I wanted to finish. So two days off instead of one but at this stage probably for the best.

Happy with the 56 miles last week. A good start.

Two more

Ran yesterday for 90 minutes getting in 11.7 @ 7:42 pace. Felt good. Today I headed out around 1pm for 75 minutes and snagged 10.1 @ 7:27 avg. First five went by at 8:00 / mile with the second half at 6:51 / mile with a slow tenth to bleed off the remaining time at the end.

I'm feeling better and better as the days go on. I can tell the vessels are clearing and things will be looking up over the next few weeks. Structurally, there's some limitations in the hamstring and probably some lingering issues with the calf that I need to be aware of. But no explosive stuff and no digging in for now. That should keep me safe.

Eastport is filling up with the holiday visitors. The navy ship arrived yesterday and Meg and I watched them as they put up the flags.

A beautiful day for a run

Did my hour in fairly cool conditions. Felt two rain drops from a passing cloud just as I was finishing. 7.7 miles.

Here is my eldest enjoying a relaxing morning with a good book.
