It's a cold, cold world

West wind brought the temperatures below zero for today's workout. It was like getting slapped in the face with each gust of the icy wind. Made Marc's mountains seem balmy.

One good thing about running along the frigid ocean - clean, dry pavement! It's so nice to be able to put your foot down and have it grip the surface. Very nice.

15 miles @ 7:46 pace. 137 HR.

Nice run!

Temps here this am was 1f with winds taking it down below, but still nothing as severe as the winds Downeast.

I'll take the ice and snow covered roads and milder wind than clean dry pavement and that devil wind coming off the ocean. I am still haunted by visions of our long runs of yore in Eastport.

I'm trying to convince the staff to host an 'ice out' training camp.

You deserve a medal for that! I must be getting old and feeble but have trouble getting out the door in this stuff.
