Slow Build

Plan is to build the mileage slowly through February and then train for a May marathon.

 

5 miles  @ 9:10 pace.  30 degrees or so outside. Wore long pants.

It is a lot of jokes! Perhaps VT. Lots of options. Plan to keep the spring date wide open so I can race at peak. My timing is bad.

Andrew, I was thinking that. You were in brilliant form not that long ago - cranking out those 20 milers in 2 hours. You needed a marathon right then!

Very true. I've had timing problems before but not when I've been in that good of shape. So it cost me a bit more.

I am even toying with the idea of signing up for multiple marathons Feb - May and just show up to the one that matches the peak. They'd have to be reasonably priced though!
